Third-party materials

Notices and
upstream terms.

Server Rock does not relicense third-party software, game content, marks, or provider services. Their owners’ terms continue to apply.

Server Rock licenses

Current commercial Server Rock releases use the Server Rock Proprietary License. Earlier Linux Server Controller source copies distributed with the MIT License remain governed by the terms that accompanied those copies. Neither notice grants rights to third-party software, game content, or marks.

Game servers, mods, and community content

Game server binaries, game names and marks, Workshop content, and mod files may have separate owners and terms. Server Rock’s manifests and adapters fetch supported files from documented upstream sources; the Server Rock license does not authorize redistribution of those files. Review the game or content provider’s terms before use.

Bundled and fetched software

The generic web dashboard may install the pinned tomli package from PyPI on Python versions before 3.11. Tomli is MIT-licensed and is not bundled in the source repository.

The Factorio candidate downloads Wube Software’s headless server directly from Factorio.com. It is not included in source bundles. Its pinned checksum identifies the download; it does not change its license.

Before distributing other materials

Third-party software and materials retain their respective notices and license terms. Before a release includes a third-party file, its provenance and license must be identified. Operator data, acquired game files, generated test output, and artwork without established distribution rights are excluded from release archives.
